Having to make sympathy cards is the worst, but most important cards to send. It's my way of showing the loved ones left behind how much I care. Sympathy cards don't have to be elaborate. The cards I posted yesterday would be perfect with a "thinking of you" type sentiment. However, these are also great cards to put some extra time and care into.
1. They are most likely going to be saved and cherished.
2. They mean so much to the person who receives them to know you care and are thinking of them.
3. Making a card can be a part of your grieving process as you think about the person who has recently passed and pray for their loved ones left behind. (this is what I did yesterday while making this card)
It's hard to see, but I stamped a verse onto the side panel.
Hopefully you don't need a sympathy card any time soon. This card could easily be made into a "Thinking of You" "Sweet Friend", "Happy Anniversary", "Congratulations", Birth Announcement, etc. simply by changing the sentiment on the front color. You could even make this card for your BFF in his/her favorite color and write their name in the center panel. The possibilities are endless.
