I found these pictures on my computer from last June. Michael's 5th grade teacher was wonderful and we wanted to give her an extra special little thank you at the end of the year. Most elements used are SU!, but some are from my stash, purchased at the Local Scrapbook/Stamper Store (LSS).
Michael did most of the decorating for his teacher's back. He used several different thank you stamps and inked them up with Early Espresso ink. I had some decorative label punches leftover from my candy project, so he added dimensionals to the back and stuck them on her bag.
Here is the card, Candy Slider, and candy purse. All elements used SU! colors: Baja Breeze, Early Espresso, and Whisper White. Stamp sets used are Bliss and Thank You (from LSS). For embellishments I used an Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Linen Thread (to tie on the little key trinket onto the card), brads, and dimentionals. I also used the decorative label punch and a CM flower punch.
The idea for the candy purse came from Angie Kennedy Juda's chicnscratch website. I changed the dimensions to fit the candy I had. On the inside of the card I matted the white cardstock with some early espresso and again stamped a butterfly from the Bliss stamp set. Can you see the little bling I put on him/her?
Do you see that sweet treat? I saved the best for last... it's a double slider, and when you pull on each end a candy bar slides out. I used 3 different videos for inspiration and ended up making up the dimensions for this one on my own. If I ever film a video of my craft making I'll have to make one of these. :)
