#1- My personal challenge- Make a "flat" card using only ink and stamps. No ribbon, bling or DSP.
#2- Stamp Nation Challenge- Use something you own that you haven't used before.
#3- HSS Challenge- Color Blocking. See below.
So I went to work and made this card using Up In The Air (Stampin' Up Hostess) stamp set along with Happy Greeting stamp set. I used my clear block and inked it up with Pool Party, Pink Pirouette, and Wisteria Wonder inks to add the color blocking you see on the card. It was so tempting to add a ribbon, or basic rhinestone or even sprinkle some Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the card, but I resisted because I wanted to complete my personal challenge.
Next I took the picture with my phone. (
And, here I am posting on my blog. I have 5 minutes left to edit and post. Phew... thank goodness for a simple card. Everything is cleaned up in my stamp room, and I am ready to go pick up my kids from school. This just goes to show that you don't need a lot of time to be a little creative. <3
Now I want to challenge you! Set a timer and spend that time creating what you love. (Cards, Quilts, Scrapbooking, Painting, etc.) Then leave a comment letting me know what you created. (Bonus points if you take the challenge above and do the same 3 challenges I did.)
Creative Blessings,
Heather North
