cQc #125

Every week the Colour Queens put out a new color challenge.   If you know me, then you know what a challenge this week's color choices were for me.  But I am all about conquering those challenges this week, so I decided to give it a try.  :)

Part 2 was my Personal Challenge- Use my "stash".  In other words make what I already own work, no buying something new to make this card.
These colors scream "MASCULINE" to me, so I went with it.  I have lots of boys/men in my life and never enough cards on hand for them.  Here is what I came up with...

Even though it is a masculine card, I still added some fun touches to this card, like the button brads from Vintage Trinkets...

...and FREE Sale-A-Bration (SAB) Ribbon you can get with any $50 purchase through March 31, 2012.

Overall it was a fun card to make.  I actually got excited when it started coming together.  Who knew I could work with a color like Dusty Durango and pair it with Lucky Limeade and Baja Breeze and end up with a finished card I would be proud to send to anyone in my life?
Overhead view so you can see the inside of the card.

There is still time if you want to play along with this week's Colour Q challenge.  Just go to their blog and share your creations.  :)
Creative Blessings,
Heather North
