My inspiration came from a site I found on accident while cruising through some new-to-me stamping blogs. Isn't it great when you find a new site(s) to love? The site is called CAS(E) this Sketch. Thank you CTS for a great sketch. I look forward to joining you often!

To add the look of dimension without adding extra layers I stamped some "splatter" from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and stamped the greeting in both black and gray.
While making this card I made a video for you. This is a great video if you are a beginner card maker and want some tips on how to recreate this card.

After I turned off the camera I made a second card using the leftover hexagons and Crumb Cake ink/cardstock. Come back next week to see close-ups of that card. (there is a sneak peek in the video above)

How did you wrap the twine around your other card? Did you make a hole to slide the strands through? Also, did you use a stampin-ma-jig to do the black 3D to offset over the gray "hello" greeting? Thanks!!! Very nice card!
I cut a slit in my other card and thread the twine through the slit. If I wasn't using a pre-cut card base I would have made a tent fold like I did with this card. :)
Yes, I did use the stamp-a-majig to do the shadow stamping on this card. If you watch the video above starting at around 7:20 you can see me adding the black "hello". :)
