Heart of Gratitude

When I first passed out and thought I was having a heat stroke it was an hour before I needed to be at work.  My dear husband came home, took one look at me, and called my friend to ask if she could cover for me at work.  She graciously said yes and within 15 minutes was at my house to pick up the key.  That, my dear readers, is a true friend.  She and her family dropped everything to come help me in my hour of need and then offered to pick dinner up for us too on her way back.

As soon as I was feeling well enough to craft I made her this card to express my thanks.  Her favorite color is purple too, so I used Wisteria Wonder cardstock to make my flowers.  Then I told my next door neighbor what had been going on and she made me a lovely bouquet of lavender, so I made her a card very similar to this one.  Then I decided to film a video so you too could see how to make a heart of flowers.

Watch the video below to see how.  :)
***Note, if you are reading this post in an email or reader, you may need to go to my blog to watch the video.

Here is the inside of one of the cards.  You can see the inside of the other card in the video above.  I forgot to take a picture of it.

This card is easy to do, but it does take some time.  I enjoyed the process though.  It would probably much easier, and quicker, now that I am not having vertigo issues.  Give it a try.  What other shapes could you use?  I bet you could make a lovely wreath or fall pumpkin.

....so essentially the more bunched together they are...the "flufflier" they're going to look?? Again, just gorgeous~ Haven't seen a card like this Heather~ I'm sorry you were so very sick. Vertigo is awful~
