Taking a bit of a lane swerve for this blog and sharing another creative avenue I have been pursuing lately. It all started when I saw a beautiful lilac crochet cardigan on Facebook. I clicked on the link and saw it was only $22 and was ready to hit the buy now button when I realized the cost wasn't for the sweater, but for the supplies.
Like anyone who cannot create does, I went on Facebook and asked my friends if any of them could crochet this sweater for me. Nobody said they could (or would). A few knew people who could, but that wasn't much help. So, I decided to youtube crocheting. I know how to single crochet a chain and then double crochet, but that was the extent of my knowledge. Even then, I didn't know what those stitches were called. Are they even called stitches? Anyway, this led me to the granny square, and I thought it was as good a place as any to start.

Not sure what this will become. I'm thinking a doll blanket for my niece, but it is fun to see how quickly this thing grows.
