Masculine Hello

Ever need a "generic" masculine card?  They can be hard to find.  That's why being able to make them myself is so wonderful.  Of course, this card doesn't have to go to a man, but the colors and design are not girly so they can go to that special guy.  (this one is going to my dad)

The stamp set I used is Lacy and Lovely, but I think you'll agree with me that the card doesn't appear lacy at all.   I think it because I used neutrals and blues instead of pastels.  What do you think?

Silly me, I didn't write down which colors used.  I think they were crumb cake, chocolate chip and either Midnight Muse or Night of Navy.  I do know that I did some stamping off to get lighter shades of the neutrals.

The banner was sponged to give it some definition from the background.  Normally I would use some dimensionals and pop that puppy up, but this time I decided to leave it flat.  I really like how it turned out and I'm sure my dad will too.

Creative Blessings,
Heather North

P.S.  I'm working on an overhaul of my craft room.  There are several videos I need to make, but first I need to clear off some space.  If you don't hear from me in the next couple of days, you'll know I didn't make it out.   LOL.  I've already started a draft of the blog post to show you the results.  It's titled "Shame to Serenity".  So far there's only "shame" pictures.  lol
