Liebster Award

Shea made my day last week when she awarded me with the Liebster award.  It's funny how "winning" something I didn't even know existed could make me feel so good.

ABOUT THE AWARD

Liebster is a German word meaning "Beloved," "Favorite," or "Dearest." This award is a peer to peer award in which fellow bloggers present the award to their favorite bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. The origins of this award is unclear, but is believed to have originated by a German blogger. This award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion to share your dearest and most beloved blogs that have fewer than 200 followers.

RULES FOR ACCEPTANCE

- Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog.

- Post the award onto your blog.

- Give the award to five bloggers who you appreciate that have fewer than 200 followers.

- Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them this awesome award!

This will be difficult as I follow many wonderful and inspiring blogs, but here are the standouts:

Thank you so very much Shea for giving me a shout out!  You made my week.  Shea is a new blogger and fairly new to cardmaking, but it's easy to see she is an artist.  She's been crafting and sewing for years and it shows in her work.  Each piece she creates is truly a work of art.  I'm so pleased to share her blog with you.  http://glitterandbonbons.blogspot.com/

1. Monika- If you like Harley's you'll want to check out her blog!  She's a Harley riding, card making Diva.  Monika's cards are edgy and graphic with perfect details.  She's wonderful at coloring in digital images and using images you don't normally see on cards.  Recently she was chosen to be on a design team, and once you visit her blog you'll know why.  http://paperchrome.blogspot.com/

2. Stacey- I've been following Stacey for a long time.  She is a master sketch artist.  Mostly she creates sketches for scrapbooking layouts.   She is the creator of Inspired to Scrap, an online forum for scrapbookers, where she holds classes and showcases her many wonderful sketches.  Her personal blog has a bit of everything from recipes, o layouts, to cards.  I've learned many things from her over the years, and every time I put dinner in the crockpot in the morning so I can spend the day crafting I think of her.  http://www.stacey-scraps.blogspot.com/

3. Try Stampin' On Tuesday-  I LOVE this challenge blog!   No surprise there.  They post a new sketch challenge every Tuesday, and even though I don't always complete the challenges on time, I try to complete a card each week using one of their sketches. http://trystampinontuesday.blogspot.co.nz/

4. Nathalia-  Many of you know how much I struggle with CAS cards.  That is why I love Nathalia's site.  Her cards a often clean and crisp, yet anything but simple.  I look at her cards and draw inspiration to try creating my own clean and simple designs.  I still have lots to learn.  I'm not sure how many followers Nathalia has, but I'm putting her on here so you can discover her if you haven't.  http://d28studios.blogspot.com/

5. Dorothy-  Dorothy is from my ACAD blog roll.  To see all the CAD ladies, just check out the right hand side of my blog and scroll down.  We a group of ladies who have committed to do our best to post a card a day.  I picked Dorothy out of this group because she amazes me with what she can create and how many challenges she can enter using limited supplies.  You see she and her DH travel in an RV and there is only so much she can take with her.  That doesn't stop her from making some amazing cards.  http://cardsbydorothy.blogspot.com/
