Have A Happy Day

Let's brighten up your Monday with a Dots for Days rainbow!  Last summer I did a series of cards using the Dots for Days stamp.  It was a fun way to brighten Monday up a bit.  Today's card uses the positive space that was cut out of card 4.

I simply added a sentiment, popped up the panel using dimensionals, and added some glittery silver washi tape to the top and bottom.  Super simple, yet bright and cheerful!  Using both the positive and negative pieces of a die can really stretch your dies.

Dots For Days 4 ~ Leftovers

Monday mornings can use an extra bit of "happy".  My next card in the Dots For Days series is this happy accident.  After cutting out the stitched rectangle for the card I showed you here, I had this frame leftover.  It was too cute to toss, so I made yet another card.  This stamp set really lives up to its name.  ;)

To jazz this card up a bit I added some of the new Iridescent sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.  Aren't they fabulous?  They remind me of colorful floating bubbles on this card.   Perfect for celebrating any occasion.

Dots For Days Part 3 ~ SC 109

It's time for another sketch challenge at Stampin' Celebration, and another Dots For Days Monday!
This time I used the Dots For Days background stamp as a solid color background stamp.  ;)  It's such a simple way to add a splash of color.  To

To add a little something special I used the Word Window punch to open up a spot for my sentiment, then I covered it & the stars with Crystal Effects.  Nice little touches on a super simple card.  Now I want to see what you can come up with using this sketch as your inspiration.  Be sure to head on over to Stampin' Celebration Challenge to see what the rest of the design team has created and to link up your own project.  Clicky

Dots For Days ~ Sprinkles ~ SC 108

Welcome to Part 2 of my Dots For Days card series.  If you missed the first post you can clicky to read all about it.

SC108

This week's inspiration photo at Stampin' Celebration screams summertime fun to me.  I took my inspiration from all those sprinkles on the ice cream when creating this card.

To make this card I chose bright ink colors and tried to selectively ink up the Dots for Days background stamp.  Then I  punched out a 2" circle and created a little shaker card with sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Dots For Days ~ Thanks

Are you ever inspired by visiting blogs?  When I first got into card making 95% of my inspiration came from other bloggers.  Lately I rarely have time to visit blogs, but occasionally I will carve out some time and catch up on some of my favorites.  That is where I found inspiration for this series of cards.

Yes, I said series.  4 cards and counting.  I think I will post them on Mondays because they are so bright and cheerful.  Mondays need all the help they can get.  ;)

My inspiration came from the incredibly talented Maureen Merritt.  I was visiting her blog and had to almost run to my craft room I was so inspired.  Clicky to see her post to see where her inspiration came from.  She used white embossing with a really cool, graphic, background stamp, and then used the ink smooshing technique to create her card.  I had to give it a try, and I was in a rainbow mood, thanks to the Dreamy Rainbow mood board over at the In The Mood class.

Above is the picture I posted on Instagram the day I created this card.  Later I was looking at this picture and thought it looked like a Polaroid.  I may be inspired to make another card.
