Birthday Girl

Making cards for young kids is so much fun.  Bright colors and fun images are great for these types of cards.

For my card today I pulled out some retired paper, fun buttons from the local craft store, a new punch and my Apothecary Accents framelits.  Whose the kid now?  Yes, I had fun playing!  I feel like a kid playing with her favorite toys every time I go in my hobby room.  :)

For the main image I used markers to color the stamp.  It's a great way to add multiple colors to your stamped image.  To get the Tempting Turquoise pieces I punched out the new Artisan Label punch and cut it in half, then adhered each half to the top and bottom of my label.   I think it adds a great punch of color.  (no pun intended)

Kimono Kard

Sorry for the late post.  I'm feeling about 80% better, but haven't been out to play in the craft room for a few days.  :(  Thankfully I still have several cards from World Card Making Day (WCMD) to share with you.   :)

Have I shared this card before?  I was inspired by a picture challenge from China on WCMD.

Somebody from the challenge site asked me how I made this card, so filmed a video.   I still sound a bit nasally.  (Is that a word?)  Sorry about that, but it's too hard to type a description.

I do hope you will give this unique look a try.  Check back in  tomorrow for another Scrapbook Sunday.

Creative Blessings,
Heather North

Friends

Friends are so important in life.  One of my friends LOVES pink, so I designed this card with her in mind.  Who wouldn't love to get this card though?  I know I would.

This scallop square card is easy to make, once you know how.  I'm working on a video for Friday's post on how to create a card like this.

Stampin' UP's motto this year is "My Way".   Creativity should be a reflection of you.  For "me", it's all in the details.   My favorite detail on this card is the sweet little button with the bakers twine bow.

Glue dots were used to adhere the button and ribbon in place.  This is one of my favorite go-to adhesives.  It's super sticky, but not messy.
