SOA Naturally Inspired Blog Hop

Today is blog hop day 3 for the soon-to-be-released Naturally Inspired Stamp of Approval by Catherine Pooler.  If you aren't on the waitlist, you will want to be. Go to www.cpstampofapproval.com

My first card is inspired by a summer sun splashed meadow.

Ink: Melon Ice, *Mystery Ink*
Accessories: Best Die

Direct link to youtube video: https://youtu.be/zm63Aow_LEg

If you have never heard of Stamp of Approval, it is an exclusive quarterly collection curated by Catherine Pooler.  Each product in the collection is designed to work with the rest of the collection.  These boxes are limited edition and only available while supplies last.  Once they sell out you won't be able to order them for months, and never again bundled together at this price.  Get yourself on the waitlist at cpstampofapproval.com to be one of the first notified when this release goes for sale.

My second card was inspired by the picture above.  I saw it months ago on pinterest and I've been wanting to make a card inspired by it ever since.  I just needed some dandelion stamps.  :)  As you can see I used the same basic layout, but came out with 2 completely different cards.

Stamps: Birds of A Feather, Wild Garden
Ink: *mystery ink*, Aquatini, Midnight, Versamark
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder (Stampin' Up) Wanderlust Embossing Powder (WOW)

This collection is called naturally inspired.   We were each asked how we are naturally inspired.  Honestly, I am inspired by almost everything in the world around me.  I'm very visual, so I see color, pattern and design everywhere I look.  I love being inspired by nature, though I'm not really an "outdoorsy" kind of girl.  So, what inspires you?  Answer in the comments below for your chance to win one of these boxes for free!  If you've already ordered yours, Catherine will refund the money.

Then hop along the rest of the hop and do the same.  Next up is: Cynde Whitlow  If you missed the first 2 days of the hop I will link you to the start of those days below.   Good luck!

Both your cards are just great, but the dandelion one rocks! There is something so wistful about a dried dandelion head. Remember blowing them as a child? Just think of how many new dandelions we helped propagate! lol Thanks for your inspiration & sharing your talent.

Unknown said...

Oh Heather! I love the way you used the flower set! Those colors are beautiful together! Then the one with the dandy lions, it just makes me think of when I was a child blowing all those dandy lion seeds all over our yard. At the time it was so much fun making wishes but now, I "wish" no one would do it in MY yard. lol Beautiful cards my dear.

Teresa Doyle said...

Very pretty cards Heather. I really love the blue one the dandelions are great.

canadian_liner said...

I LOVE seeing how you used the same stamp set to make completely different cards. The dandelion one is just lovely. Makes me think of a summer day-- blue skies and no worries. And so happy to see that new ink colour!

I like how you did a similar layout, but such different looks in the end. Definitely like your inspiration photos! The blue dandelion one is so cool. Thanks for all of the inspiration along the hops, and building all of the excitement around this collection. Like many crafters, I am inspired by the DT's creations all the time! I'm also inspired by a lot of the nature around where I live, and the tree lined streets I drive on, and appreciate, every day!

Unknown said...

Just love both of your cards but oh my - the second card in blue is just amazing. That little pop of black for the sentiment and butterfly was just perfect. What a great SOA collection and you really showcased it beautifully!

Four11Lady said...

Your cards are awesome! If I had to pick my favorite or die, I guess I would just have to die.....LOL Wonderful job demonstrating these awesome products!

Joyce Spear said...

Heather, you stinker! Now all my hopes that the mystery ink color is a purple are dashed to smithereens, LOL. (No worries, I'll get over it.) As always, really beautiful cards here. I especially love the dandelion one! Also love that you included your inspiration pictures in the post. I'm inspired by nature but hardly ever am able to leave my home and get to someplace quiet like a park or lake. You reminded me with your pictures that, while it's not exactly the same, I do have the whole world here at my fingertips. I just know I'm going to love the Naturally Inspired collection, especially when Pinterest starts filling up with projects made with the contents! I'm sure that even though the design team's cards are stunning, they've only just scratched the surface of possibilities.

Cheryl Jones said...

I just love your cards. The new color is very nice as far as I can tell. I need to practice layering the stamps the way you did. I love the dandelion one.
