Feminine and Masculine

Happy Friday!  Friday is my favorite day of the week because it holds all the promise of the weekend.  Today I have two cards for you made using the same color palette from the Colour Me challenge.
CMCC #8
When I first saw the colors I thought they would make a nice baby card.  I still do, but that's not what I made.   First I made this floral beauty.

Isn't it lovely?  The dots in the background mimic the dots that are stamped on the focal panel.

My next card started out as a baby card, but turned into a Thank You card because I am in need of lots of thank you cards and no baby boy cards.

The panels were started in the same way as my floral card, stamping over and over down the paper to get a lighter shade each time.  The center panel was created by stamping first in Soft Sky, then in Pistachio Pudding.  The perfect colored chevrons are from a package I won during the Seasons Of Giving blog hop.  I love these so much.

I wasn't sure I could pull off CAS with this sketch, but I'm pleased that I did!   Thank goodness, because it means I can enter this week's Cardz 4 Guyz challenge to create a CAS masculine card.  CAS is often the safest way to go when creating cards for guys and it one of the reasons I strive to be a better CAS cardmaker.

Great contrast between masculine and femine cards for this color combo. You really showcased how many different ways you can go with the same starting point. Great work! So glad you're playing along this week at Colour Me...!

I really think you rocked the colour challenge. The feminine version is really pretty, but it's your guy card that I just love. The clean, simple design is fab!
