Did you see part 1? If you did then you know I am participating in the NBUS Challenge #5 and I finally got my Cheerful Blessings stamp set inky. If not, you can CLICKY to see my 1st card or click on the graphic below to find out more about the challenge.
Here is card #2. When I got my Zig Clean Color markers a couple of weeks ago I started playing and experimenting with them to see how the markers worked and reacted with each other & water. The strips you see at the bottom of my card are a result of that practice. I took a yellow marker and scribbled on one side of my paper, then took a red marker to the other side. I sprayed the strip with water and moved watched the colors blend and spread. It was so cool! I didn't want to throw it out.
It was sitting on my (very messy) stamp table when the "sunshine" sentiment caught my eye from the NBUS stamp I had just used. I stamped it, cut off 2 smaller strips then adhered it with glue to my sponged card base. I love that I saved this piece from the trash and gave some inky love to a poor neglected stamp set at the same time.
Be sure to check out the NBUS challenge and participate. There are some awesome prizes to be won! Thanks Darnell and helpers for bringing us this challenge.

Fabulous card Heather. I love the background.
Oooo I love it! So cheery!
What a lovely card! Love the colors.
Another fabulous BG, love the colours and the contrast strips of CS. Thanks for joining in on the NBUS challenge again. Hugs Bev (Uniko) x
This is SO gorgeous! WOW...........
Another amazing card! The colours are divine. Thanks so much for joining in over at Darnell's using your NBUS. Good luck. Kylie - Happy Little Stampers xx
You are a true colorist, Heather! The watercoloring with your Ziggies is fabulous, of course, but what you did with them is what makes this card genius IMHO! I am in love with the way you did such a simple thing as cutting the larger panel into three strips, stamping on the larger one, and then applying them this way. It has a HUGE impact! I also love the little golden suns I see peeking through your wonderful sponged background!! It's all about the details!! Thank you again for your gusto and for playing again in my NBUS Challenge #5!! (BTW, are there any MFT challenges that you can enter this in, or any of your cards using that set? What about the MFT Card Star challenge or even just the MFT Facebook page? These cards are too cool not to be put in more galleries than just mine!!) Hugs, Darnell
