Last month my niece turned 3. It's hard to believe she is already 3 years old! I wasn't able to make it down for her birthday so I sent her presents and a card. My brother was nice enough to share this video footage of her opening her special card from Auntie Heather.
Isn't she the cutest?!!! I think she liked her card even more than her presents! Would you like to see her "Happy MYyyyy Birthday" card?
The background of this card was very similar to yesterday's card. I used these cool make-up brushes that I found for a steal of a deal on Amazon and sponged the background. This time I added even more of the Picked Raspberry so it would be a hot pink. The ballerina was first stamped in Picked Raspberry, then heat embossed with Versamark and Wanderlust embossing powder.
For her name I used CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Flowercase. Don't you just love that we can create our own custom names? It's especially useful when you have a less common name such as my niece has. These flower alphabets are perfect for a girl of any age, but I think a certain 3 year old might love them the best. To create her name I stamped out each of the letters in versamark and embossed them in white. Next I sponged ink over them and used a wet wipe to wipe off the extra ink from the embossing. Since I didn't have dies to match, I just fussy cut the letters leaving a thin border.
The one thing I wasn't happy with was the swirl I tried to create with a fine line marker. I tried to fix it by adding another circle, but then I hated it. I thought about doing it over again before remembering that this was for a 3 year old and she would love it just because it was for her. <3
Of course I added a little bit more bling with some sequins and a sparkle pen.
