Bullet Journal Planner | July | June recap

Today I am setting up my July monthly, daily and weekly layouts in my bullet journal planner and reviewing the month of June.  This was my first full month using the larger B5 size planner versus my A5 moleskine that I completed in May.

Friend, You Make Me Smile!

I saw this stencil technique awhile ago and had to try it out on my friendship card. Basically you sponge the rainbow of colors over the stencil, move the stencil slightly and without re-inking your sponge, stencil again.  It gives you a lighter shade of the colors you first stenciled.  Pretty cool, eh?  Sorry, I can't remember who I saw doing this technique.  Whoever you are, THANK YOU!

The sentiment is a combo of  stamps from the Wild Blooms stamp set and the Friend Fri-Die.  My tag was looking a little bare and not popping against the background, so I matted it in black.  It was still too plain, so I pulled out some flower stamps and stamped along the bottom, then added a skinny strip of black cardstock.  Now I love it!

All of the products I used today, with the exception of ink and paper, come from Catherine Pooler's new online store.  She is doing a soft launch this week of her store that will be opening in August.  StampNation members already have the link.  Those of you on the wait list for Stamp of Approval will be getting an email tomorrow and if there is anything left, the store will open to everyone else on Monday and close on July 1st, if she doesn't sell out before that.

Bullet Journal Planner | Spring Cleaning | Project Planning

A few times a year I get the urge to DEEP clean my house from top to bottom.  Sometimes I ignore that feeling and go to my craft room to create until it passes. Eventually though, the urge is so strong that I have I have to just set aside some time and do my "spring cleaning".  Looking at our 2 story house and thinking of cleaning it top to bottom can feel overwhelming.  Just like any big project you may face, it becomes easier when we break it down into manageable steps.  That's what I did in this video.

Love these banner stamps for those days I don't feel like trying to draw them myself.

Check boxes for shelves, cabinets and drawers so I can cross even more items off my to-do list.  Am I the only one that likes to check off items on my lists?  Writing everything down reduces my stress, checking them off the list makes me feel as though I've accomplished something.

If you don't want to stamp, you can simply write out your tasks and draw boxes like I have on the right hand page.  I was originally planning on having my spring cleaning following this page, but that didn't happen.  Instead I filled up the "leftover" pages in my bullet journal planner with all my little projects.
