A Very Trend Holiday Class Giveaway

As crafters we often need to be thinking two seasons ahead with our creations so that they can be sent, given or displayed in time.  While I don't like seeing Christmas decorations in the stores before Halloween, it does remind me that I need to get moving in the craft room.  ;)

So far the only Christmas cards I have made have been for Operation Write Home to make their early October deadline.  I really need to get started on my own cards to send to family and friends.  Thank goodness my friends Catherine Pooler and Maureen Merritt have come up with a fun new class to get my mojo flowing!

After seeing all the classroom has to offer I was so inspired that I made my first Christmas card of the season this morning.

Even with my cold lingering on I was able to complete this card from start to finish in 20 minutes.  That's saying a lot when you consider my Holiday supplies were hidden away from last year and my craft table is a MESS.

Click HERE if you want more information or you are ready to register now!

GIVEAWAY time!!!!  Catherine has generously given me 2 FREE Classes to give away to commenters on my blog.  Woot-Woot!  Don't worry, if you have already signed up for the class and are chosen as the winner she will refund your class fee.  She's cool that way.  ;)

To enter to win:
1) Leave me a comment telling me when you like to start making Christmas cards.

2) Enter by midnight (PST) on Sunday, October 27th

One final note... the best deal is to join StampNation and get your coupon code for 50% off.  The cost of membership for one month, plus your half price class is LESS than the class itself.

What is StampNation?  StampNation is an online papercrafting community filled with the BEST sistahs in the world.  New videos, tutorials and challenges come out every week.  There is also a classroom with ideas for the latest trends, CAS cardmaking, not to mention Shea's lounge and so much more.  There is also a picture gallery with thousands of ideas from everyone on the site sharing what we love.  Just tell Catherine I sent you.  :)

Creative Blessings,
Heather North

I'd like to start my Christmas cards (at least, figuring out the design/layout at CKC Seattle) :P Thanks for the opportunity to win a class.

What a wonderful card, Heather. I am ready to work on cards right now, but it will be a couple weeks before I can get started - so by the 15th of November for sure.

I have to start in July if I want to have enough completed by December 1st. I am a little behind this year :)

How exciting! My favorite time to start Christmas cards is sometime in the first week of November. I have to wait until Halloween is over to get in the mood for the holidays.

If I could I would start now to make cards, but I just don't think it will be happening soon. I've never yet made my own Christmas cards... hopefully someday soon! Yours is gorgeous Heather!

I will start my Christmas cards after Halloween - and after my hubby leaves for an extended business trip. I'll have lots of evening time to work on my crafty stuff. (So bittersweet, eh?) I love your card--and thanks for letting us know how long it took to make! Sometimes I wonder if I'm just super slow!!

I can relate to what so many of you have said. I "should" start in July, but I just can't seem to get in the mood until it's cold outside. :)

Thank you so much Linda! It has been a joy to be a part of the design team at StampNation. I still don't feel "worthy" of the spot, but I'm having fun!

I start making them as soon as the holiday catalogues come out usually. This year I have stacks made already - in fact I may have too many and have to give them away to random strangers!
