My father-in-law and his brother worked at the Singer Sewing Machine factory in the 1930's and got machines for several of the ladies in the family. I wish I could have had my mother's, but that wasn't possible, so now I'd just like to have any one that works well, and looks half way nice. There is a whole group of people, called Treadle On! I think, which sew on hand cranks and treadles. They have a yearly conference in most states. I know Tennessee has one every summer.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
